Steps
- 1Create an account on the application site The Hyuil (thehyuil.co.kr) and choose one of the listed fishing-village programmes (participation fees vary by village and are paid by you)
- 2Pick your dates, lodging, shared office and activity, then click Apply — rooms and offices cannot be used before the booking is confirmed
- 3Before the stay, submit your business registration certificate and certificate of employment
- 4After the stay, submit workation proof photos (one of the office and one of the lodging per company) and complete the emailed survey

Things to watch
- Runs 6 Apr–Dec 2026 and closes early when the budget runs out. Open to civil servants, company and institution staff, solo business owners (nomads, freelancers) and similar
- Village status (application site, checked 23 Oct 2026): Yangyang Susan and Jeju Gimnyeong are not listed. On Sapsido (Boryeong) the national subsidy has run out and only the Chungnam Culture & Tourism Foundation subsidy applies; Jeju Sagye has run out of subsidy and is available at the regular price only
- The notice allows 1–3 nights; the operator booking pages set weekday stays (Mon–Thu nights) of at least 2 nights — check each village page for its own conditions
- Participation fees vary by village and are paid by you (covering shared office, lodging, breakfast, one fishing-village activity and travel insurance). Activities may change with local conditions, and switching from the default activity costs extra
- Some products are non-refundable once confirmed — check each village refund policy. Skipping the survey restricts future use
