Steps

1. 1Prepare the application form (Form 1), personal-data consent (Form 2), pledge (Form 3) and a resident register extract issued after the notice date, and apply online (Gyeongnam Baro Service), by email or by post (round 1: 22–30 Apr 2026, arriving by 18:00 on the last day)
2. 2Selection ranks motivation (30), travel plan (30) and promotion plan (40) plus a youth bonus (up to 10); foreigners and overseas Koreans get priority. Only selected applicants are texted (round 1 announced 8 May)
3. 3After selection, book your own lodging and stay in Gimhae during the travel window (round 1: 11 May–30 Jun, 3–29 nights) while completing the promotion tasks
4. 4Within 15 days after the trip, send the result report (Form 4), social-media task records, original expense evidence (Forms 5–7-1), promotional photos and videos and the survey (Form 8) by registered mail; after review the support is remitted by the 20th of the following month

Required documents

• Everyone: application form (Form 1), personal-data consent (Form 2), pledge (Form 3) — in a team of two, the consent, pledge and register extract are needed from both
• Koreans: resident register extract issued after the notice date / foreigners: passport and alien registration certificate / overseas Koreans: overseas national register extract and residence card
• Settlement: result report, social-media post URLs and screenshots, original lodging confirmation and receipts (no handwritten receipts), survey

Things to watch

• Open to people aged 19+ living outside Gyeongnam on the notice date. Travel is limited to Gimhae, and stays under 3 consecutive nights get no support at all
• Support: lodging up to ₩70,000 per night (per team, up to 29 nights), activities ₩70,000 per person for under 7 nights or ₩100,000 for 7+ nights, insurance ₩20,000 per person, one-way transfer up to ₩100,000 (foreigners and overseas Koreans only) — reimbursed afterwards
• Promotion tasks: at least 2 posts a day on Instagram, blogs or similar (1 a day for foreigners and overseas Koreans) or a set number of 5-minute-plus YouTube videos by length of stay, with the required hashtags, public visibility and disclosure of participation
• No payment if the trip departs from the plan, totals under 4 days, tasks are unmet or late, or claims are false or inflated. Rounds 1 and 2 of 2026 have closed; no round 3 notice as of 17 Sep 2026
