Korea’s regional travel-support scheme generally requires advance application, eligible spending and proof before part of the cost is reimbursed in local currency. It is not an automatic 50% refund everywhere.
The 2026 pilot framework
The Ministry’s 2026 pilot framework describes a 50% reimbursement in mobile local currency, capped at KRW 100,000 for individuals and KRW 200,000 for groups. Local notices determine actual eligibility and availability.
