Steps

  1. 1Register on the designated platform Dear Monday (dearmonday.io) and choose a site among the “[Subsidy] … (Rural Workation)” packages
  2. 2Pick your dates on the booking page, submit the application form and consent form (downloadable there) with proof of work, and pay
  3. 3The lodging operator checks room availability and screens your documents; you may be asked to complete missing items
  4. 4Your booking is confirmed when the “approved” KakaoTalk notice arrives

Required documents

  • Participation form (Form 1) and personal or company data consent forms (Forms 2 and 3)
  • Certificate of employment or national insurance certificate issued within the last month / business registration for business owners
  • Freelancers: one income document from the past year, such as a comprehensive income tax return, business-income withholding receipt or payment records

Things to watch

  • The discount is up to ₩50,000 per person per weekday, and up to 5 days in Sep–Nov (max ₩250,000 per person). Travel insurance is supported
  • Stays are 2 to 4 nights, and each person may join the rural workation once a year
  • Open from 13 Apr 2026 on a first-come basis until the budget runs out. Site details and how to join are on the rural tourism portal Welchon (welchon.com) and the operator help centre
  • Three sites (Dangjin, Naju, Jeju Gimnyeong) were added in Sep 2026 for a total of 13 (existing: Icheon, Hongcheon, Gangneung, Gongju, Jeongeup, Namwon, Gokseong, Yeongcheon, Sangju, Namhae)
